Outside of work, Ed is a certified EMT-IV and volunteers as a medic at about 8 ultra  marathons in the mountains each year, volunteers with his town’s paramedics, teaches a  2-day long Wilderness First Aid class for the Colorado Mountain Club, runs 4x/week and  does half marathons, writes acoustic guitar music and golfs. He previously had been an  EMT instructor, was on National Ski Patrol, was a member of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary,  and on many non-profit Boards. He also coached competitive youth travel hockey for 16  years and taught Leaders Mindset skills there for 12 years. Ed lives in Louisville, CO, with  his wife of 40 years, and has a son and daughter who are both working professionals.
